Canon Adds New All-In-One

Lake Success, N.Y. — Canon added a new business-oriented all-in-one inkjet printer to its lineup today.

The $399 Pixma MX7600 is a pigment ink-based system with new Pigment Reaction (PgR) technology. According to Canon, the new PgR technology employs a clear ink tank alongside five color inks for improving the look of color graphics and photographs printed onto plain paper.

The MX7600 features an automatic document feeder (ADF), auto duplex printing, two-way paper feeding, simultaneous scanning and printing, a 1.8-inch LCD screen and Ethernet networking.

It can print black text at a rate of 28 pages per minute (ppm) and color at 23 ppm. Photos are printed at 4,800 by 1,200 dpi and the printer will apply an automatic image fix when printing directly from memory cards or digital cameras.

The unit’s Super G3 color fax can receive up to 250 incoming pages in memory and features eight one-touch speed-dial numbers.
