Lake Success, N.Y. - Canon has added two all-in-one printers to its Pixma line.
The Pixma MG8220 and MG6220 are able to access any wireless device, including Android and iOS handheld products via an app, and print directly from Google Docs or Gmail.
The MG8220, $299, is targeted at the photo enthusiast. It has a maximum color resolution of 9,600 by 2,400, and can print a 4-inch by 6-inch borderless photo in about 20 seconds, the company said. It features a 3.5-inch LCD for previewing images and is the only Canon Pixma model with a film adapter unit for digitizing slides and film. It comes with Canon's Advanced Media Handling that features auto duplex copying/printing and two-way paper feed.
The MG6220, $199, has a 3-inch display and drops the film scanner, but otherwise has the same feature package as the MG8220.
