BrightPoint Inks Deal With Chartis Unit

Indianapolis - BrightPoint Americas has entered into an agreement with Service Net Warranty, a subsidiary of Chartis, to offer a suite of wireless device lifecycle services and protection programs for the subscriber and pre-pay markets. 

BrightPoint Americas will provide forward and reverse logistics, including the repair, refurbishment and recycling of wireless devices. Chartis companies will offer insurance/service contract solutions customized to client needs, and a loyalty program designed to optimize customer service and client retention, BrightPoint said.

"We provide warranty and extended-service plan administration for many of the world's largest and most respected wireless and consumer electronics brands," said James Mostofi, president of the U.S. warranty division of Chartis. "We see tremendous opportunities to leverage our capabilities to drive customer engagement and retention. This agreement is a natural fit for both Chartis and BrightPoint Americas."
