BrandSource Wins Charity Award

Anaheim, Calif. –
BrandSource has received the 2011 Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)
Stewardship Award for its work with the family charity.

The buying group
was cited for “exceeding expectations in helping the charity fulfill its
mission of offering programs that directly improve the health and well-being of
children,” RMHC said.

Specifically, for
the past eight years BrandSource has worked with suppliers to provide major appliances
and consumer electronics to Ronald McDonald House locations, which house young
out-of-town patients and their families while the children receive local medical
treatment.

The award, which
was bestowed in past years to Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Southwest Airlines, was
presented last week at the 2011 RMHC International Conference in Chicago. Key
corporate donors are recognized every two years for engaging with the charity
and its local chapters.

“For eight years,
BrandSource has been a tremendous help to our families in a very unique way.
They help turn Ronald McDonald House programs into a ‘home away from home,’ ”
said RMHC president/CEO Marty Coyne. “Our guest families are able to enjoy
electronics and appliances similar to what they have at home, making them feel
comfortable, and allowing them to focus on the needs of their children.”

“Our success is
directly attributable to the people of the communities that support our
business,” said BrandSource CEO Bob Lawrence.
