LAS VEGAS — New aftermarket head units launched here by Boss Audio include three double-DIN mech-less models, one with the company’s own Display Link technology to mirror the display of a connected Android device.
Also new is an amplified speaker system for ATVs.
The mech-less head units feature AM/FM, no CD mechanism, input for USB-connected devices, SD card slot, stereo Bluetooth and analog aux input.
The mech-less head unit with Display Link technology is the $449-suggested BV9375ML, which features 6.2-inch fixed display, stereo Bluetooth and Bluetooth hands-free. With Display Link, the head unit charges the connected Android device, displays its video, and view driving directions from a navigation app running on the phone.
The other mech-less head units are the $109-suggested 635UAB and $219 double- DIN BV9348B.
The BV9348B connects to external sources via USB, SD car, stereo Bluetooth and analog aux-in port. Via USB, it streams music from iPod/iPhones, other smartphones and other MP3 devices. It also features an audio/video input. A rear camera input is included along with an integrated steeringwheel control interface.
