Boost Mobile To Offer iPhones For First Time

Irvine, Calif. – Sprint’s no-contract brand, Boost Mobile, will become the latest wireless provider to offer the iPhone 5c and 5s beginning Nov. 8.

The company hasn’t offered iPhones in the past, a spokesperson said.

Boost will also offer the iPhone 4s.

The provider didn’t specify whether the iPhones would be available through its indirect channel on Nov. 8 or whether the phone would be available through indirect retailers at a later date.

Boost Mobile devices are available nationwide at almost 20,000 major retail stores, including Best Buy, RadioShack, Target, Walgreens and Walmart, Sprint retail stores, independent wireless dealer locations, and on HSN. Re-Boost cards are available at about 100,000 locations throughout the United States.

iPhone prices weren’t disclosed.

The 5s and 5c will be equipped with 4G LTE and 3G CDMA EV-DO Rev. A. The iPhone 4s features Rev. A.

Boost and sister Sprint prepaid brand Virgin Mobile began offering their first LTE phones earlier this year. Sister brand Virgin Mobile offers the iPhone 5s starting at $549, 5c starting at $449, and 16GB iPhone 5, all with LTE, and the 3G 8GB iPhone4 and 16GB iPhone 4s. Virgin offers a six-month no-interest financing plan on the unsubsidized iPhones as well as an interest-accruing financing plan with 20 percent interest rate.
