B&O Debuts Headset For Apple Devices

Arlington Heights,
Ill. – Bang & Olufsen introduced the EarSet 3i, a mobile headset designed
exclusively for use with Apple devices.

The EarSet 3i,
which reportedly weighs 8 grams, is the step-up product to the EarSet 3. New
features include an operation button that enables navigation through tracks and
playlists, and assists with call-waiting features.

“The hook switch
makes it possible to answer, end and decline calls — and put incoming calls on
hold,” said Dave Zapfel, North American product manager, in a statement.  “Both buttons are conveniently placed on the
wire where it is combined with the microphone.”

Although the
EarSet 3i is meant for use with Apple devices, a company spokeswoman told TWICE
it is still compatible with other smartphones.

“If a consumer
wishes to inquire further on compatibility, we ask they take their non-Apple
smartphone into a local Bang & Olufsen showroom for final determination,”
she said.

The headset’s
design, constructed of brushed aluminum and rubber, is meant to be ergonomic as
well as stay in place while exercising. Small pads are included for a more
comfortable fit, the company said.

It is currently
available in black for $199, with a white version expected to be available at a
later date.
