Los Angeles — A day-long summit for Blu-ray developers, called Blu-Con 1.0, will be held on Dec. 8 in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The event will provide a platform to discuss topics including BD-Live, Digital Copy, Blu-ray and music. Other sessions will cover authoring, replication, packing and software.
"This event is a call to action for the home entertainment community to share knowledge about Blu-ray’s marketing success while focusing on new opportunities for Blu-ray in the future," said DEG president and Warner Home Video president Ron Sanders.
Blu-Con 1.0 will precede the Video Hall of Fame event, which is scheduled to take place that evening at the same hotel.
Registration is $295 for DEG members and $495 for all others. For sponsorship information, contact Linda Buckley at (323) 965-2402 or via email: email@example.com. More information is available at www.blu-con.com.
