BenQ Names TI’s Yoder New U.S. President

Irvine, Calif. –

BenQ

said Thursday that it has named Lars
Yoder, former Texas Instruments (TI) executive, BenQ America president.

Yoder will oversee
all BenQ operations in the United States and Canada, including general
management, sales and marketing, as well as development of the corporate brand.

“Lars brings an
extraordinary understanding of the U.S. consumer electronics and semiconductor
marketplace, combined with 15 years of proven business, marketing and product
success,” stated Conway Lee, BenQ Corp. president and CEO. “I’m confident he
will play a pivotal role in BenQ’s continued growth and development in North
America.” 

At TI, Yoder
served in a variety of business and marketing positions touching on both the
consumer electronics and semiconductor businesses.

In his tenure he served
as business development VP and as a product line manager in the HVAL Business
at TI. He was elected vice president in 2007 while serving as the General
Manager of the company’s DLP front projection business (2001-2009).

He is also said to
have extensive experience working with customers to bring highly differentiated
products to market.

Yoder also held
positions as chief marketing officer, DLP Optical Networking and as a strategic
marketing manager (1998-2001). Yoder joined TI as a product manager in
1995.
