BenQ Expands Home-Theater DLP Lineup

Irvine, Calif. –

BenQ

recently
introduced a pair of new home-theater FullHD Brilliant Color DLP projectors.

The BenQ W1200 ($1,499 suggested retail) and W1100 ($1,299) are
billed as extensions to the company’s home-theater projector line, offering a
strong value.

Both units feature 1080p HD resolution; SRS WOW HD technology
with 20-watt speakers; and are equipped with a 15-pin, D-sub PC input,
component, composite and S-Video inputs and dual HDMI ports. Both models also
offer 3D color-management technology and a 1.5:1 zoom ratio.

The W1200 produces 1800 ANSI lumens of brightness output and a
5,000:1 contrast ratio, while the W100 produces 2000 ANSI lumens of brightness and
a 4500:1 contrast ratio.

The W1200 will be available in March, and the W1100 will be
available in February.

Additionally, BenQ introduced its new Zowie XL2410T LED LCD video
gaming monitor.  BenQ developed the
monitor in tandem with Zowie Gear, a manufacturer of high-end professional
gaming gear, and “Counter-Strike” video game experts — Emil “HeatoN”
Christensen and Abdisamad “SpawN” Mohamed for the unleashing of BenQ’s latest
LED gaming monitor.

The collaboration marked the first time BenQ has consulted professional
gamers in the design of a display device for competitive gaming.
