Compton, Calif. — Belkin announced two in-desk hubs and an in-desk dock for the iPod. Both are designed to fit securely into the grommet holes of a desk.
The front-access in-desk USB hub features four angled ports and a mounting ring that secures the hub. It is engineered to fit into a 3-inch hole and has a $39.99 suggested retail.
The other in-desk USB hub comes in two models — one that fits into a 2-inch hole and one that fits into a 3-inch hole. Both retail for a suggested $39.99, and both include a mounting ring that secures the hub.
The in-desk dock for an iPod ($39.99 suggested retail) is designed to charge and sync an iPod while it plays. It can fit into a 3-inch hole on a desk and features a stereo-out jack that enables a user to listen to the iPod through a stereo, powered speakers or headphones.
