– Azione Unlimited, the start-up buying group for custom retailers and
integrators, has conferred its first Golden Goose award on Almo.
The new quarterly
honor is given to a vendor member that provides the most value to the group’s
membership during the period, president Richard Glikes said.
Almo, a national
CE and appliance distributor, received the accolade for consistently providing
pricing structures, particularly in video, that have provided tremendous value
and additional profits for Azione members, Glikes said.
The distributor
was also lauded for its Almo Access business portal, which provides real-time
pricing and inventory information, product specifications including images and
videos, customizable printed spec sheets, and a host of ordering, tracking and
payment tools.
In a statement, Sean
Weiner, president of Starr System in Baltimore, Md., said he is “extremely
happy” with Almo’s pricing, which allows it to save between 3 percent and 6
percent on each panel it purchases.
Added Glikes: “Almo has been an exceptional vendor member. Their
competitive video pricing is one reason why Azione continues to add members.”
