New York — Averatec has re-entered the computer market with an all-in-one PC space with a line of computers based upon the company’s laptop designs.
The company had taken a year-long hiatus from the computer market to reevaluate its position prior to releasing these new models.
The models are designed for use in non-traditional PC spaces and can even be wall mounted.
The latest entries come in four variants:
22-inch screen, 2GB, 320GB hard drive with TV tuner, $849.99;
22-inch screen, 3GB, 320GB hard drive without TV tuner, $849.99;
22-inch screen, 3GB, 500GB hard drive with TV tuner, $899.99; and
18.4-inch screen, $549.99.
The 22-inch models all feature an Intel Core 2 Duo processor running Vista, a dual-layer DVD burner, Web cam, 3GB of DDR2 SDRAM and six USB ports.
The 18.4-inch model steps down to an Intel 1.6GHz Atom processor running Windows XP, 1GB of DDR2 RAM and and the same optical drive.
