AVAD, a leading distributor of custom
electronics, has named Jon Zabel sales director and Hugh Hughes to merchandising
director.
Zabel, who was senior merchandise manager for video, accessories
and security, and Hughes, who was senior merchandise manager for commercial, custom
and audio products, have nearly two decades of combined experience at AVAD.
Jim Annes, VP/GM of AVAD, said that the positions are new. “Throughout
the years, Jon and Hugh have demonstrated an impressive depth and breadth of
experience and insight that has helped AVAD become an industry leader. And its
people and leadership like Jon and Hugh will continue to make AVAD the best in
the business for many years to come.”
In his new role, Zabel will develop, implement and manage
all sales activities for each of AVAD’s U.S. branches.
Hughes’ responsibilities as the merchandising director will
be managing and strengthening all vendor relationships, purchasing decisions
and related functions.
