Hauppauge, N.Y. — Audiovox has created an accessories group consisting of its Terk and Vogel’s products and given sales responsibilities for the brands to its consumer electronics division.
The consumer electronics sales team will add the Terk and Vogel’s lines to their product offerings, thereby expanding the retail opportunities that these lines had when they operated independently, the company said.
In addition, Audiovox has hired Hank Caskey as VP of the new accessories group. Caskey joins Audiovox from Philips computer accessories and peripherals where he was formerly sales VP. He will be responsible for all of the operations of the accessories group, including product development, sales, and business development of products sold under the Terk and Vogel’s brands.
Steve Patti, product development VP for Terk, and Jean-Jacques L’Henaff, industrial design VP, round out Caskey’s development team.
Pat Lavelle, president/CEO of Audiovox, said in a prepared statement on the new structure, “We welcome Hank and look forward to the contribution we know he will be making in the development and sales of the Vogel’s and Terk accessory product lines. These two brands have already made significant strides with their high-profit, customer-appealing products. We are confident that Hank will enhance the track record of these products.”
