LAS VEGAS — Audio-Technica is expanding its Quiet- Point, SonicSport and Core Bass headphones lines and plans to introduce them at International CES this week.
The new QuietPoint models include the over-ear ATH-ANC29 and in-ear ATH-ANC33iS for $99.95 and $79.95, respectively. Both are active noise-canceling headphones that will still operate when the batteries run out.
The ATH-ANC33iS comes with Comply foam tips and silicone ear tips in three sizes and its communications capabilities work with all smartphones, according to the company.
Audio-Technica’s three new SonicSport in-ear headphones feature IPX5-certified waterproof rating and are said to be sweat-proof and washable. The ATH-CKP700 (79.95) has a wraparound headband, and an in-line mic and controls for use with iOS devices. Its flexible pivot ear-fit design is meant to direct clear audio and impactful bass toward the ear canal, while allowing awareness of outside sounds, Audio-Technica said.
The ATH-CKP500 ($59.95) headphones have C-tip earpieces that nestle in the outer ear, while the ATHCKP200 ($39.95) have a hinged ear hook that adjusts around the ears. Both are offered in several colors and come with various ear tips.
The new Core Bass ATH-COR150 ($19.95) and Clear ATH-CLR100 ($14.95) in-ear headphones have snap-on/ snap-off oval ear hangers and in-ear-canal styles, respectively. Both come in several colors and have a cord wrap that that encloses the headphones for travel.
The ATH-PRO500MK2 DJ monitor-style headphones ($179) feature two detachable cords (one coiled and one straight), swiveling earpieces, and 10Hz to 30kHz frequency response.
Finally, the open-air ATH-AD900x headphones have 53mm drivers, copper-clad aluminum-wire (CCAW) voice coils, and a self-adjusting 3D Wing Support Housing. They come in a red and black design. Pricing will be available at the show.
The ATH-ANC29, ATH-ANC33iS and ATH-AD900x headphones will be available in April, and all other new headphones will be available this month.
