AT&T’s Aio Wireless Subsidiary Expands Service Availability

Alpharetta, Ga. — AT&T subsidiary Aio Wireless will offer its no-contract cellular service nationwide though its website beginning mid-September.

The subsidiary launched operations in early May to market 4G service under the Aio Wireless brand. The subsidiary currently sells Aio service through Aio-brand stores operated by third parties and at Aio’s website in the markets where Aio stores operate.

More than 200 dealer-owned Aio stores are operating in Florida, Texas and the metro-Atlanta area. In those areas, consumers can also buy on-line. Consumers in the Chicago area can also activate Aio service online.

Aio offers three plans, all including unlimited talk, text, and data but with pre-set amounts of high-speed access, including 4G LTE. Plans range from $40 to $70 per month, with taxes and fees included.

Smartphones, tablets, and feature phones are available from Samsung, Nokia, ZTE and others. Customers can also bring their own device to the Aio network.
