City of Industry, Calif. — American Telecom Services (ATS) will offer promotional material inside its Digital Clear VoIP phones directing consumers to purchase broadband Internet access from the comparison site Broadband National.
The deal will allow consumers who purchase ATS VoIP phones but who do not yet have the requisite high speed connection to order that service through a private label Broadband National Web site. For each new broadband account activated through the site, ATS will receive a fee and share a portion of that revenue with its retail partners, the company said. The company also offers a residual revenue stream on the VoIP activation.
ATS offers multihandset cordless phones for use with SunRocket’s VoIP service. It also offers a line of cordless phones bundled with long distance minutes from landline provider IDT.
Broadband National is comparison shopping for cable and DSL service from close to 40 providers including Comcast, Verizon, Time Warner Cable and AT&T. It offers similar comparison shopping with VoIP providers SunRocket, 8×8, Comcast and Time Warner.
