Assurant Offers Customer Support Services To Retailers

Atlanta – Assurant Solutions, a provider of extended service contracts, is now offering its retail clients a wide range of support services for their CE, majap and mobile customers.

The new program, Assurant Expert Services, covers a wide range of categories including computers and peripherals; mobile devices; TVs and home theater systems; small electronics; and major appliances. Services include installation, setup, support, in-home appliance repair, product delivery and setup, and virus and spyware removal.

Services can be provided remotely via telephone or Internet through SupportSpace, a new Assurant partner, or on-site, in-home, in-store or at a repair depot through Assurant’s national network of service providers and technicians.

Assurant said the program allows clients to deliver additional services that complement their current offerings without the time and cost of building a technical infrastructure, identifying technology experts or managing the program themselves.

“Assurant Expert Services is a turnkey solution that fosters longer, more valuable relationships with customers through the delivery of complementary services,” said Keith Meier, senior VP of the company’s extended protection services division. “By extending the customer relationship beyond the point of sale, our clients can increase revenue through previously untapped channels. And their customers will get faster, more convenient access to a wide range of support services delivered in the way that suits them best.”

The program includes a web portal that offers real-time remote services, scheduling and management through a functional and flexible work order system. Consumers can navigate a single website to purchase, manage and execute service plans and access remote services, and can contact a service provider and select their preferred service option in one visit.
