Cupertino, Calif. — Apple released three new all-in-one iMacs yesterday with the entry-level model priced at $1,199, $300 lower then its predecessor.

Two of the models feature 20W-inch screens with the flagship unit centered on a 24W-inch display.

The $1,199 piece is powered by a 2.0GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo processor, has 1GB of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (expandable to 4GB); a slot-load, 8x dual-format/double-layer DVD burner; an 256MB ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO graphics card; 802.11n networking; 320GB 7,200 rpm hard drive; built-in iSight video camera; and mini-DVI out, microphone and speakers.

The $1,499 step-up 20W-incher adds a slightly faster 2.4GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo processor, while the top of the line $1,799 unit differs by having a 24W-inch LCD.

All three are available today.

The company also released a new version of its digital lifestyle software now called iLife ‘08. This features a new version of iPhoto and an upgraded version of iMovie.
