Apple Brings Content-Creating Apps

Cupertino, Calif. –

Apple

is bringing content-creation
productivity apps to the iPhone and iPod Touch with the launch of a trio of
iWorks apps previously available for the iPad and Mac computers.

 The
productivity apps, originally designed for Macs and then redesigned for the
iPad, are called Keynote, Pages and Numbers. They enable users to,
respectively, create presentations, word-processing documents and spreadsheets from
the portable devices.

 The
apps are available on Apple’s App Store at for $9.99 each to new users and as a
free update for existing iWork for iPad customers.

 Keynote,
Pages and Numbers are universal apps that run on iPad and iPad 2, iPhone 3GS
and iPhone 4, and iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation). They’re also available a
free update for existing iWork for iPad users.

  A
99-cent Keynote Remote app turns an iPhone or iPod touch into a remote to
control a Keynote presentation on any iOS device or Mac.
