Chino, Calif. - Consumer electronics resource
, which has been known as the sole distributor of Apex Digital CE products in the United States, unveiled Monday its plans to expand its portfolio later this year through the development of the Affinity and KCPI CE brands in North America.
The company said it will use the brands to market lines of flat-panel televisions, DTV set-top boxes, home-theater systems, soundbars and other electronic devices, beginning in the third quarter, in order to meet retailers' holiday selling needs.
The company has distributed both CCFL- and LED-backlit LCD TVs and digital set-top boxes in the past and is now targeting both national and regional retailers in North America in its new brand distribution strategy.
"We embrace a philosophy of total value, in which lower prices do not compromise product quality or superior customer relations," said M. Jeannie Vogler, KCPI's chief sales and marketing officer. "Look for the introduction of expanded product categories in LED TV technologies, media players, Blu-ray Disc players, soundbars and home-theater systems in the near future."
