AOL Time Warner’s Pittman Picked For CES Keynote List

Arlington, Va. – Bob Pittman, co-chief operating officer for AOL Time Warner will deliver a keynote address on Thursday, January 10 at 8:30 a.m. in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater during International CES. Pittman oversees AOL Time Warner’s subscription services and advertising and commerce businesses, including America Online and its family of interactive brands, Time Warner Cable, Time Inc., Home Box Office, Turner Broadcasting System and The WB Television Network. Pittman joins the following executives as confirmed keynoters for the 2002 International CES: Dr. Daeje Chin, president & CEO of digital media business for Samsung Electronics; Bill Gates, chairman and chief software architect for Microsoft; William Esrey, president and CEO of Sprint; Carly Fiorina, chairman and CEO of Hewlett Packard; and Gerald Kleisterlee, president and CEO of Philips Electronics. In addition CEA announced that the show will highlight home networking and entertainment at many conference sessions comprising the CES Knowledge Circuit. Among the topics to be discussed are: DVD, DTV, 3D gaming, digital surround sound, front-door cameras, rooftop satellites, wireless networks, broadband data delivery and whole house remotes. In addition, CEDIA will provide training in five classrooms located in the Las Vegas Convention Center, which will feature custom installation and system integration.
