Seattle – Amazon announced today its Kindle e-reader and
tablets are selling at a rate of 1 million per week.
The online retailer has been selling Kindles at this rate
for three consecutive weeks with the Kindle Fire remaining its top seller, the
company said. The products included under the Kindle name are the $79 Kindle,
$99 Kindle Touch, $149 Kindle Touch 3G and the $199 Kindle Fire.
The company will not break out how many of each Kindle type
have been sold.
