Seattle – Amazon has
revamped its Kindle 3G with Special Offers deal now include AT&T content and at a lower price point.
The Kindle 3G will now be
sponsored by AT&T and cost $139, the same as the Wi-Fi only version. This is down from the previous $164, which is now the price of regular Kindle 3G.
In exchange for the lower
price point, owners of a Kindle 3G with Special AT&T Offers will have to
view sponsored content and ads via the screensaver, but they will also receive
money-saving offers from AT&T.
Amazon began its
line in April when it attached the deal to its Wi-Fi Kindle, knocking
its price down to $114.
