TAMPA, FLA. – National appliance, CE and commercial display distributor Almo has opened a new distribution center here to support its premium majap portfolio.
The luxury appliance brands fall within the company’s growing specialty products division, which serves the dealer and builder channels.
Almo said the new Tampa facility will provide customers throughout the Southeast with shipments of in-stock high-end white-goods within one to two days of order.
“The opening of our Tampa facility, along with the recent addition of an experienced sales team, demonstrates our commitment to the premium appliance market in the Southeast region,” said Jay Penney, executive VP of Almo specialty products. “We now have all the key components in operation to fulfill our business promise of providing exceptional service.”
Penney, a majap industry veteran who joined Almo two years ago from Electrolux/Frigidaire, added that additional teams and distribution sites are presently being constructed to support the division’s further expansion throughout the South.
