Almo Kicks Off Pro A/V Tour

Philadelphia –
Almo’s professional A/V division will kick off its two-city Fall E4 A/V
training and networking tour tomorrow in Chicago.

The first leg of
the road show will be held at Chicago’s Congress Plaza Hotel from 8 a.m. to
4:30 p.m.

The tour, produced
in partnership with InfoComm International, will conclude Oct. 27 in New York
at the Millennium Broadway Hotel.

The Chicago leg
will feature first-time exhibiters Armagard, Altinex, BrightSign, MusicLites,
Casio, Key Digital, Universal Remote Control, Panasonic Broadcast and Christie
MicroTiles. New products will include NEC’s interactive classroom tablet
software and latest 3-chip DLP projector; Sharp’s 80-inch Aquos flat panel; and
LG’s 47-inch direct LED with a super-narrow bezel for video walls and Supersign
Elite-S compatibility.

Both cities will
feature a new lineup of training sessions, including a just-added class from
Christie MicroTiles on designing for high impact signage. The session, “Fun
with Christie MicroTiles – The New Digital Canvas,” will be presented by Christie’s
Bob Christopher, who will demonstrate how the product can be configured into
any shape and size with no practical limit to the number of tiles in a display.

• Videoconferencing: The Business Case Why
Now is the Time with Alan Brawn, principal, Brawn Consulting; and

• The Art of “Techorating” with Displays
for Commercial Applications with Alan Brawn.
