LAS VEGAS — AfterShokz will add to its headphones lineup during International CES at booth 26522 in the South Hall.
The company’s open-ear headphones feature its patent-pending bone-conduction technology, meant to let users stay better aware of their surroundings while listening to music, the company said.
The Bluez Bluetooth headphones rest in front of the ear and use the bone-conduction technology to transmit sound through the listener’s cheekbones to the inner ear, bypassing the eardrum completely and keeping both ears open, the company said.
They feature an ergonomic one-piece wraparound headband that has an adjustable and removable inner tension band meant to comfortably accommodate a range of head sizes.
Other features include a make/take call button on the right transducer and a pause/advance button on the left transducer. They are currently available for an $89.99 suggested retail.
AfterShokz is also showing its first sport headphones with the Sportz M2 model. Features include the bone-conduction technology, a wraparound headband, a reflective strip along the back, an in-line control box that is said to be 30 percent smaller and lighter than the company’s first generation design, and sweat and water resistance. They are currently available for a $79.95 suggested retail.
