Advent Upgrades OE-Look Camry System

Hauppauge, N.Y. –
Audiovox has upgraded its Advent-branded OE-look A/V-navigation system for the
Toyota Camry, adding such features as upgraded Bluetooth, rear-view camera
connection, and faster processor for faster menu selection and screen changes.

The
multimedia-navigation system, which is shipping to expediters, marks the 11th
product introduction this year in the Advent-branded

OE-look lineup

of
A/V-nav systems, a spokesman said.

Advent
offers 12 such factory-look systems

.

All of the new
Camry head-unit features are already available in Advent’s other OE-look
A/V-nav systems, he added.

The Bluetooth
upgrades, made possible through the inclusion of Parrott’s Bluetooth chipset,
include stereo Bluetooth, call management with call waiting, caller ID,
push-to-talk functionality, Bluetooth’s Phone Book profile and in-field upgrade
options. An external hands-free microphone is included.

An updated user
interface, including onscreen icons and graphics, is also new.

The head unit features 7-inch touchscreen,
Apple-certified iPhone/iPod USB connection, XM-ready capability, and ability to
play back iPod/iPhone-stored video with an optional composite-video cable.

 The navigation section features Navteq’s
database of U.S. and Canada maps and turn-by-turn voice guidance in English,
French and Spanish. It also offers onscreen display in 19 languages, and 11
million points of interest with 3D landmarks.

The system carries a three-year warranty.
