ADL Honors Maloneys, Schwab, Weisner

New York – Almost every top executive in the consumer electronics industry was in attendance at this year’s Anti-Defamation League (ADL) National Consumer Technology Industry dinner at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, here, Saturday night.

Over 460 industry executives, spouses and friends came to honor the five well-known and respected award winners: Con, Eddie and Johnny Maloney of Cowboy Maloney’s Electric City who received the ADL American Heritage Award; Izzy Schwab of D&H Distributing, who was also presented with the American Heritage Award; Nationwide Marketing Group’s Robert Weisner, who received the S. David Feir Humanitarian Award.
Hosted by dinner chair Warren Mann, president of World Merchants Buying Group, the evening was also distinctive due to the speakers and presenters in attendance with opening remarks by division chair and Best Buy vice chairman/CEO of Best Buy.

Gary Shapiro, president/CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association delivered the keynote address and Joe Clayton, chairman of Sirius Satellite Radio presented his friends, the Maloney Brothers, with their awards. Dan and Michael Schwab, VPs of D&H Distributing did the honors for their father and CEO of the company, Izzy Schwab and Ed Kelly, president of the Nationwide Marketing Group presented the award to his company’s executive VP and his brother-in-law, Robert Weisner.
