Acer Intros Olympic Laptops

Irvine, Calif. – Acer America is celebrating its partnership with
the upcoming Winter Olympics with a line of special-edition notebooks and
monitors.

Acer is supplying the Winter Games, being held in Vancouver, Canada,
with 6,500 pieces of equipment, along with 100 engineers and technicians to
support the gear.

On the product side, Acer is revamping two models in its Aspire
Timeline series, the Aspire 4810T and the Aspire 1810T laptops. Also included
is the G5 series of LCD monitors. All these will now sport a commemorative diamond-cut
hybrid Acer/Olympic logo, the company said.

The notebooks were originally introduced earlier this year. The

4810T

has a 14-inch display and has been selling for about $599. The 1810T is an
ultra-portable model with an 11.6-inch screen and the same retail price.

The G205H and G245H monitors have 20-inch and 24-inch screens,
respectively.
