Acer Debuts 3D Monitor Line

Irvine, Calif. – Acer
today introduced a line of 3D monitors.

The Acer 3D Series
features two models, the 27-inch HN274H and the 23.6-inch HS244HQ. Both are now
shipping with respective suggested prices of $689 and $449.

The displays can import
3D content via their HDMI or DVI-DL ports from PCs, Blu-ray disc players, game
consoles, cameras and TV set-top boxes, the company said. Both monitors support
NVIDIA’s 3D kit and come with one pair of active-shutter glasses. The
larger-screen model supports the HDMI 3D solution.

The monitors have an
embedded 3D infrared emitter.

The 27-inch version features a single VGA, DVI ports and three
HDMI with HDCP connections. It has a million-to-one contrast ratio and a 2-millisecond
screen response time. The 23.6-inch version drops one HDMI input and the DVI
port.
