Irvine, Calif. - Acer today introduced a line of 3D monitors.
The Acer 3D Series features two models, the 27-inch HN274H and the 23.6-inch HS244HQ. Both are now shipping with respective suggested prices of $689 and $449.
The displays can import 3D content via their HDMI or DVI-DL ports from PCs, Blu-ray disc players, game consoles, cameras and TV set-top boxes, the company said. Both monitors support NVIDIA's 3D kit and come with one pair of active-shutter glasses. The larger-screen model supports the HDMI 3D solution.
The monitors have an embedded 3D infrared emitter.
The 27-inch version features a single VGA, DVI ports and three HDMI with HDCP connections. It has a million-to-one contrast ratio and a 2-millisecond screen response time. The 23.6-inch version drops one HDMI input and the DVI port.
