Village, Calif. – Accessory Power is rolling out a quartet of portable
Bluetooth speakers over the next two to three months at suggested retails
ranging from $49 to $99.
Three are
portable AC/DC models. All carry the company’s GOgroove brand, which is used
for such audio products as PC speakers and docking speakers.
The lineup
starts with the $49-suggested GOgroove BlueSync EX Pocket Bluetooth speaker, whose
features include an expandable compartment to deliver deeper bass, and lithium-ion
battery recharged via USB power cable. The 2.9- by 2.9- by 1.5-inch speaker
delivers 2-watt RMS output. Battery life is up to four hours. It also features
built-in 3.5mm audio cable for wired connection to non-Bluetooth audio devices.
At $99, the GOgroove BlueSync is a tabletop
AC-only stereo speaker featuring Bluetooth AVRCP (audio video remote control
profile) and onboard controls for pairing, volume, pause and play. A rear USB
charging port charges connected USB devices, and a 3.5mm aux input connects to
non-Bluetooth audio sources. The 11- by 3.8- by 4-inch speaker delivers
2×3-watt RMS output through dual 2.5-inch drivers.
At $89, the AC/DC GOgroove BlueSync OR3 features
onboard controls for pairing, volume and playback control, rechargeable battery
for up to 16 hours of playback, 2-watt output, and single 70mm driver in a 4.8-
by 4.8- by 7.8-inch chassis.
Another portable model is the $99 GOgroove
BlueSync STX, which is powered by AC or eight AA batteries. The 11.8- by 5.3-
by 4-inch speaker comes with separate smartphone/tablet stand for viewing video
at a comfortable angle. Other features include 3.5mm aux in, 2×3-watt RMS
output, an up to 25 hours of playback time on eight AA batteries.
