Sometimes a good ol' fashioned wristwatch or alarm clock are still the best at what they do.

While the IoT, backed by 5G, may soon revolutionize society, sometimes low-tech devices, like a dependable old wristwatch or alarm clock, are still best at performing their functions.

“It still feels magical to light up your living room by saying ‘Alexa, turn on the lights.’ But with all the hype surrounding so-called smart things — everyday devices that are connected to the Internet — it’s easy to forget that sometimes the dumb stuff is just better.”
