Walmart is staffing a second facility in Texas that will use data science, machine learning, computer vision and other emerging technologies to solve commonplace problems in its retail stores. The new high-tech campus, in Plano, follows a sister site that opened last month in Austin. The facilities are separate and apart from Walmart’s e-commerce skunkworks operations in Silicon Valley and New York.
