Trump Blasts Amazon As Retail Killer

President Trump took time out from his Charlottesville, Va., controversy yesterday to vilify Amazon via his Twitter account. In a tweet sent out at 6:12 a.m. on Aug. 16, the day after his infamous press conference in the lobby of Trump Tower, the president decried Amazon for “doing great damage to tax paying retailers,” as well as the towns, cities and states that are losing jobs as a result. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post, which has been a dogged chronicler and harsh critic of Trump’s.

“President Donald Trump blasted Amazon on social media Wednesday, saying the e-commerce giant is hurting retailers and causing U.S. job losses.”
