T-Mobile Accused Of Deceptive Advertising; N.Y. AG Investigates

T-Mobile’s “Uncarrier” ads promise to compensate new customers for costs associated with dropping their former carriers. But critics contend that consumers who bought their phones via the new payment installment plans must pay off the balance before they can leave. New York State attorney general Eric Schneiderman is investigating.
