Super Bowl 50: Verizon, AT&T combine for 12.2 TB of cellular data at event

Email, social media drive 12.2 TB of cellular data traffic in and around Levi’s Stadium, and that’s just from two carriers.

“Thanks to some live-action network stat tweeting and emails, we already have the cellular traffic totals from Super Bowl 50 from Verizon Wireless and AT&T: With Verizon claiming 7 terabytes of traffic Sunday and AT&T claiming 5.2 TB on their respective networks, there was a total of 12.2 TB of wireless traffic on the two biggest carriers’ networks in and around Levi’s Stadium.”
