Sprint and T-Mobile are finalizing the terms of their proposed merger, with the discussion now down to a headquarters location and senior management staffing. A formal announcement is expected by month’s end. Pending regulatory and sharehold approval, the deal would reduce the number of national cellular carriers from four to three, still led by Verizon and AT&T.
“Sprint Corp. and T-Mobile US Inc. are putting the finishing touches on a merger that’s likely to be announced when the wireless carriers report quarterly earnings at the end of October, according to people familiar with the matter.”
