
Sprint posted uneven results: It posted a gain of 366,000 postpaid phone net additions versus a year-ago loss of 205,000, marking the highest postpaid-phone net adds in 3 years and the second consecutive quarter of gains. But Sprint lost 491,000 prepaid customers vs. a year-ago gain of 410,000.
“Sprint Corp. on Tuesday boosted its guidance for the year and said its turnaround is starting to take hold, as it posted a loss for the latest quarter that wasn’t as deep as Wall Street was expecting. Shares jumped 16% in premarket trading to $2.92.”
