Huawei Wooing AT&T In Pursuit Of U.S. Smartphone Foothold

Any foreign manufacturer’s dream is to crack the U.S. market and No. 3 smartphone maker Huawei is no different. After sampling domestic success with its acclaimed Nexus 6P phablet for Google, and poking around the retail and carrier periphery with limited  placements at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Consumer Cellular, the Chinese vendor is aiming high by seeking chipset approval from AT&T.

“Huawei is making a fresh attempt at launching into the US market to challenge Apple and Samsung’s monopoly on premium smartphones. In its latest attempt to break into America, Huawei is trying to get its Chinese mobile chipset accredited by AT&T.”
