Apple testimony to House: FBI asking to ‘weaken’ device security

Bruce Sewell, Apple’s SVP and general counsel, will testify before the House Judiciary Committee today and say, in prepared remarks, that creating software to access the terrorist’s iPhone will open a back door to all iPhones.

“Apple’s general counsel says complying with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s order to break into an iPhone connected to the San Bernardino, Calif., massacre will “weaken the security” of its devices.”
