Virtual Reality Prototype Wins Tops ‘Best of CES’ Awards

Las Vegas – A virtual reality prototype won the official Best of CES Awards, but there were plenty of other products selected that will be available for consumers this year.

The editors of Engadget, the official 2014 International CES judges of this year’s awards selected the Oculus Rift ‘Crystal Cove’ prototype as the “Best of the Best,” which also won Best Emerging Technology.

Best Automotive Electronics Product: Corvette Performance Data Recorder;

Best Audio Product: ClearView Clio;

Best Video Product: Dish Virtual Joey;

Best Software: Sony PlayStation Now;

Best Mobile Technology: Sony Xperia Z1 Compact;

Best Gaming Product: Valve Steam Machines;

Best Offbeat Product: Sen.se Mother;

Best Kid-Friendly Product: Mimo Baby with Intel;

Best Maker-Friendly Technology: MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printer;

Best PC: Razer Project Christine.
