Lighthouse Design Studio, renowned for its excellence in high-end outdoor lighting design and services, has made a strategic move into the CEDIA channel. The firm aims to empower custom integrators with comprehensive support for large-scale luxury lighting projects, including system design, product sourcing, and installation management.

Tim Ryan, Director, Lighthouse Design Studio

Founded in 2001 and boasting over 50,000 successful outdoor lighting installations, Lighthouse Design Studio is led by Tim Ryan, an esteemed Executive Director and Principal Lighting Designer. The company’s team, dispersed across the US, comprises seasoned experts in landscape and architectural lighting. Their portfolio includes over 15,000 visual assets and has garnered recognition with more than thirty-five awards from international organizations.

“Increasingly crucial to CEDIA projects, outdoor lighting represents a significant growth opportunity,” said Paul Fredrickson of Muto Communications, Lighthouse’s PR agency. Recent studies indicate a substantial uptick in demand, with 75% of integrators anticipating growth in outdoor lighting needs for 2025. Despite this, only a minority currently incorporate outdoor lighting effectively into their projects due to technical challenges and specialized expertise requirements.

Ryan emphasizes Lighthouse’s unique approach as an independent design firm dedicated exclusively to outdoor lighting. Unlike generalists or hardware manufacturers, Lighthouse provides end-to-end solutions and collaborates closely with partners to integrate any lighting brand seamlessly into project designs.

Joining CEDIA as an Industry Professional member, Lighthouse is committed to supporting integrators through industry events, training sessions, and educational content. They kick off their channel expansion with sponsorship of the 2025 Florida and NY/NJ CEDIA Tech + Business Summits, where Ryan will lead sessions on integrating landscape and architectural lighting into AV projects.
