CEDIA Expands Education Initiatives At CEDIA Expo And Conference

Holders of “All Access CEDIA Training Pass” granted access to over 100 courses

CEDIA Expo is pleased to announce an expansion on its education initiatives by offering a wide range of education topics and customizable education planning for integrators to take their career to the next level at the CEDIA Expo and Conference starting August 31, 2021, at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis, Indiana. This year’s All Access CEDIA Training Pass opens the doors to over 100 courses, with subject matter ranging from the highly technical to the business-oriented, and learning opportunities geared for those new to the industry as well as seasoned pros, and everyone in-between.

“CEDIA Education is a cornerstone of CEDIA Expo and we’re proud that CEDIA is bringing forward a robust slate of educational opportunities that meet learners where they are and help them elevate their skill set,” says CEDIA Expo VP Jason McGraw. “The conference programming was curated by the CEDIA education team with input from key CEDIA volunteers. The CEDIA education team has extensive experience in the adult education field – with nearly 80 years of experience between all of them.” The education conference is vital to keeping the show relevant and valuable in our rapidly changing industry landscape, we’re excited to see how attendees respond to these new offerings.”

In addition to the in-person conference, CEDIA is committed to providing Professional Development opportunities for those unable to attend. Over 50 classes will be available on-demand from August 31 – September 30, 2021, which will include select, highlighted classes recorded from the in-person conference.

Additionally, CEDIA Certification will be offering testing onsite in Indianapolis on September 1-2, 2021.

Learn how to plan and organize a retrofit project that minimizes impact to the home; how and where to use specific tools for making holes, pulling wires, and creating openings; and how to implement retrofit techniques in different settings.

    Here is everything you need to make your first and every one of your Crestron Home projects a success. Learn how to configure systems using the power of Crestron Home. We will highlight the “Works with Crestron Home” document and go through the primary products you would spec for a Crestron Deployment. Lights, shades, audio, video, climate, door stations, and others will be discussed.
  • Wellness in the Home – A Technology Insight
    Wednesday, September 1: 1:00p.m.–2:30p.m.

    This course will examine the value propositions that are critical to this expanding segment of our industry. Wellness is a new “thing” to a lot of integrators; however, not a foreign concept to homeowners. Let’s bridge the gap to show how integrators can provide that service. We will explore great new opportunities including technologies such as using tunable lighting to maintain circadian cycles indoors, and advanced air remediation to improve the quality of air.
  • WFH / WTF – Working From Home, What’s The Future?
