Soundcast, the San Diego-based purveyor of wireless audio systems, has appointed Tom Dixon sales and marketing VP.
He succeeds Charity Hardwick, who was promoted to Soundcast president last month.
The VP appointment represents a return to marketing responsibilities for Dixon, who originally joined the company as marketing VP in 2014. He later served as senior marketing strategist for Signature Control Systems, and returned to Soundcast two years ago as business development senior director.
The latest organizational move “will further support Soundcast’s aggressive marketing launch of the new VGX line of products,” the manufacturer said.
Prior to Soundcast, Dixon held marketing and sales roles at SunBriteTV, DTS and Pioneer Electronics, where he spent 18 years.
“Tom has a stellar track record in both new product launches and in aggressively growing business for small brands,” Hardwick said. “Since the start of his employment, he has had a large impact on the company’s success, and I am confident his expertise and overall passion for consumer electronics will help move the company forward.”
