Sound United Makes Personnel Moves

Vista, Calif. – Sound United promoted executives Blair Tripodi and Scott Hagen and hired Josh Talge as its new chief marketing officer.

Sound United is a division of DEI Holdings and parent of the Polk, Definitive Technology and BOOM by Polk speaker brands.

Tripodi, who was CMO for two years, was named president of Sound United International, a new organization that will market the Polk and Definitive Technology brands worldwide. Scott Hagen becomes chief sales office (CSO), having been appointed VP of strategic accounts in 2013 to manage the company’s mass-national retail channel.

Talge previously held several key executive marketing roles at TaylorMade-Adidas Golf. Over 10 years before that, he held multiple roles in brand management at Procter & Gamble. His areas of expertise include global strategy creation, concept and program development, product innovation, retail partnership marketing, and team development, the company said.

In his new role as president of Sound United International, Tripodi will lead all aspects of the company’s international business, including strategy, sales, marketing and operations. Before joining Sound United, he was managing director of Under Armour’s European, Middle Eastern and African businesses.

At Sound United, Tripodi drove brand awareness through strategic marketing efforts that included the signing of Grammy Award winning artist John Legend as brand ambassador for Sound United’s Definitive Technology brand.

The three executives report directly to Sound United president Kevin Duffy.
