Secaucus, N.J. – Panasonic North America has promoted Mike Riccio, formerly controller and VP, to chief financial officer.
Riccio has worked for Panasonic for 26 years, holding key accounting and financial management positions and leading many of the company’s strategic initiatives in the U.S. and Canada.
“Mike’s well deserved appointment to this post is an important milestone in the continued localization of Panasonic’s management outside Japan,” said Joe Taylor, Panasonic North America chairman and CEO.
In addition to his new responsibilities as chief financial officer, Riccio will continue to lead the relocation of the company’s headquarters operations to Newark, N.J., this summer.
Riccio has an MBA in finance from Rutgers University, is a certified public accountant in the state of New Jersey, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJSCPA).
