Klipsch Group Promotes Duo

Indianapolis — Klipsch Group promoted Jill Escol and Matt Sommers to the newly created positions of global communications director and marketing and creative strategies VP, respectively.

Escol was marketing director, and Sommers was creative director. Their previous positions will not be filled because “the team is transitioning with these two new leadership positions,” a spokesperson said.

Escol will focus “on the development of the Klipsch Group brand voices” by leading public relations, communications and the overall brand experience, the company said. Escol “will direct company resources to expand Klipsch Group’s reach and streamline its message worldwide.”

Escol is a 12-year Klipsch employee. Before joining Klipsch in 2002, she spent five years with Citizens Energy Group as advertising and sales promotions specialist.

Sommers will “develop and implement the vision for all Klipsch Group brands by leading the marketing department and maximizing strategic partnerships,” the company said. Sommers was creative director since returning to the company in 2013.

Before that, he worked for Klipsch for 16 years from 1991 to 2007. He also ran his own ad agency for six years and held creative leadership roles at Nuvo, Shane, and MediumFusion.

Klipsch Group owns the Klipsch, Energy and Jamo audio brands.
