HTSA Board Of Directors Cancels Its Upcoming Spring Conference

The HTSA Fall Conference, currently planned for October 27-29 in Dallas, TX, is expected to continue as scheduled.

Below is a statement from the HTSA Board of Directors on its upcoming spring conference:

Jon Robbins, Executive Director HTSA

Perhaps like you, we have watched the rapid expansion and increased impact of the Coronavirus in just a few short weeks. Very recently, the World Health Organization declared that the COVID-19 Coronavirus meets the requirements to be classified as a true pandemic. According to their data, more than 118,000 people globally are infected with the virus, and 4,291 people have died. On top of that, at this moment, thousands more are fighting for their lives in hospitals.

This pandemic has spread to 114 countries around the world, including the United States, and is now impacting our custom integration industry as well. It was recently reported in the media that members of the tech community were exposed to this deadly virus at a recent industry gathering in Florida.

The State of Florida has declared a public health emergency, due to the rapid spread of COVID-19.

HTSA’s Board of Directors places the utmost importance on the safety, health, and well-being of all HTSA staff, members, vendors, and all those at the resort location of our planned HTSA Spring Conference scheduled for April 6-8 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Accordingly, after careful consideration of the recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and federal, state, and local health authorities, the Board has decided that the prudent course of action is to cancel the HTSA Spring Conference. We wish to thank the Marriott Harbor Beach for their understanding during this very challenging time for us all and look forward to hosting an upcoming Conference at their beautiful property.

All Spring Conference room bookings will be canceled automatically.

The HTSA Fall Conference, currently planned for October 27-29 in Dallas, TX, is expected to continue as scheduled.

On behalf of the Board, the HTSA staff wishes you, your families and colleagues good health as we progress through these formidable days.

Best Regards,

Jon Robbins
Executive Director HTSA
